This is in the Petrified Forest National Park, which isn't far from where I live.
curly, I live at 7000 feet and it snows here regularly during the winter (as you will see once winter starts and I post images). We get more snow than many northern cities. The Petrified Forest is at about 5,000 feet and does get snow but not much.
